In the beginning I was overwhelmed because as I said I think I missed a lot of history from not reading Die for Me and Scream for Me, this shouldn't be a stand alone book... but somehow it kind of works. Susannah is about to discover that her whole life has been something other than what she has known, she will have to do something she has never done before. Be the first to ask a question about Kill For Me. For many, there is a simple answer to this question, but what the characters go through in this book is utterly horrific. I have a hard time giving high scores to them because it’s, basically, a recounting of true facts and not much imagination is needed. basically, racism’s bad and babies are good. It was heavy and filled with too much detail such that instead of complex, it became merely complicated. 4.5 stars rounded up. This book was full of excitement and drama from beginning to end. I still strongly urge reading the entire series in order as related characters pop up throughout. This was an enjoyable book but I had to suspend my belief that people would kill like that, to save their children, maybe, but not to save reputations. When she's not writing, she's practicing for her next karate belt test. The storyline raises difficult and challenging questions. It feels like poor horse has been beaten a time too many. I thought Scream For Me was an awesome book, but Kill For Me manages to top it all! I received a copy of this book from TBC Reviewers request- Thank you. It was though-provoking in the sense that it makes you stop and really think about what you'd be prepared to do to protect yourself/your family/livelihood etc if you were forced to. This book completes the story arc that started with, RITA Award by Romance Writers of America Nominee for Romantic Suspense (2010), Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award (RT Award) for Contemporary Mystery (2009). I'm a fan of true crime books and I've read a handfull of his books. Twists, great detail, compelling characters. And I like this and I. I'm a huge fan of Victor's novels - so I'm usually a lot happy when a new book is released. Well that was some roller coaster ride & boy what a thrill ride it was too. Lots of murder but thankfully not too gruesome in detail! Rebecca needs to drink copious amounts of tea to function throughout the day and if she could, she would survive on a diet of tea and cake while committing murder on a regular basis, in her writing of course. One survived, … Kill for Meby Rebecca BradleySeries: DI Hannah Robbins, #5Kindle Edition, 275 pg.2019 Read: June 20 - 22, 2019 ...it had happened the way he planned it and there was no use crying over a perfect plan. Tom Wood continues to show us what a good writer he is. Victor returns and this time he is hired to take out a cartel boss, by her sister who wants total control. Tracey was a master at controlling women-- and he began a plan that would allow him to insure the death of Sandra Rozzo without leaving any evidence of himself at the crime scene. The author did a detailed and exhausting research to write this book. She has an extensive understanding for both the dark and light side of human nature and a true gift for displaying that in her books. If you are a die-hard romance person, this book probably won't be for you, but if you like mystery, suspense and a wild-ride, you will love this book! But I really had to take my time reading Victor number 8 because I wanted to enjoy as much of Victor as possible, for as long as possible. Need another excuse to treat yourself to a new book this week? This leave him more vulnerable than we are used to seeing him and gives us a deeper insight to who Victor is. I'm so surprised by my rating of this one. You don't see half of them coming. Either way it was a very good concept, and I don't think I've read any other crime fiction books with a storyline like this - and I've read A LOT of crime fiction! But trying to bring down this vile ring of people who are selling these girls on the black market only throws more questions, lies, and horror at them. Susannah Vartanian knows all too well what these girls have gone through. The one surprise was how well it had all gone. I just never felt like Luke and Susannah had very much chemistry, and Susannah remained sort of cold and aloof throughout the entire book (which was understandable given her history, but it felt a little overdone). I’ve never read anything like this before. KILL FOR ME. In this book it touches on racism which the author did a fantastic job in writing about it and working some of the story around it. This crime thriller has a really strong and unusual premise - a string of murders, but organised in a very different way. Author Karen Rose is a New York Times best-selling author and award-winner. Oh Hawk and Brooke is the type of love story you can read over and over. Some people love books. That's why it's worked four times before: no one left to report the crime." Hands down the Victor series is one of my favourites and of all the books this one is possibly one of the best yet. I fully believed him when he said a little bit of him dies each day. Karen Rose is a fantastic story teller. The only complaint I have about this book is the romance.
